On December 4th, 2024, the Regional Agency of the Žilina Self-Governing Region, in collaboration with PEDAL Consulting, s.r.o., and the Žilina Self-Governing Region, organized the workshop “Together for the Slovak Bioeconomy.”  The event took place at the headquarters of the Žilina Self-Governing Region, located at Komenského 48 in Žilina.

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the results of the ROBIN project in the Žilina Region, which supports regions in their transition to a circular bioeconomy. The session provided an overview of ROBIN’s Toolbox and the current state of bioeconomy development, not only in the Žilina Region, one of ROBIN’s pilot regions, but also in two other invited regions in Slovakia.

A key highlight of the workshop was the Mutual Learning Session, where attendees engaged in open discussions and exchanged best practices and knowledge among the participating regions. Furthermore, the workshop provided a unique opportunity for stakeholders to explore potential collaboration opportunities aimed at accelerating the transition of Slovak regions to the circular bioeconomy.
