From 9th to 12th June 2025, the ROBIN project was presented at the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE), held in Valencia, Spain. As one of the leading global events in the field of bioeconomy, biomass and renewable resources, EUBCE 2025 brought together over 1,200 participants, including 800 speakers, 130+ sessions, and 45 exhibitors from around the world. The conference provided a vital platform for sharing cutting-edge research, policy developments, and innovative industry practices.

The ROBIN poster, titled “Advancing Regional Circular Bioeconomies Through Strategic Governance and Co-Creation: The Circular Bioeconomy Governance Model Canvas,” was presented by Dragica Grozdanic from MTU’s CircBIO group, as part of the Industry Topics session. One of 18 posters selected in this competitive category; it was showcased on 12 June in Poster Area A.

The poster outlined the ROBIN project’s efforts in developing governance tools and strategic frameworks to support the implementation of circular bioeconomy strategies at the regional level across the EU. It specifically introduced the Circular Bioeconomy Governance Model Canvas (CBGMC) — a participatory co-creation tool designed to enable multi-actor engagement and support the design of regionally tailored governance approaches. Developed through iterative testing and stakeholder collaboration, the CBGMC reflects ROBIN’s broader ambition to foster inclusive, locally grounded bioeconomy transitions across diverse European contexts.

The ROBIN contribution was presented to an international audience during the poster session, where interest was shown in the approach and tool, but also for the Robin Toolbox. The session provided an opportunity to showcase the CBGMC and explain its purpose and structure to attendees from academia, policy, and industry.  Participation in EUBCE 2025 supported key ROBIN objectives related to stakeholder engagement, knowledge dissemination, and transdisciplinary collaboration, while also contributed to the project’s visibility within the international bioeconomy community and strengthened its role in advancing strategic governance for circular and sustainable regional development across Europe.
