The Region of Central Macedonia participated as an Associated Policy Authority representing the ROBIN project in the 2nd Meeting of the Regional Stakeholders Group of the CITISYSTEM* project, “Supporting Cities in Sustainable Biobased Systemic Change”.

ROBIN team after presenting the three components of the toolbox that support the regional partners in implementing their governance models and structures, explained in depth how the regional support actions will help them fulfil their vision of developing a regional bioeconomy cluster.

The Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia organized the meeting, which took place on Friday, February 23, 2024 in the old hall of the Regional Council of Central Macedonia in Thessaloniki. During the meeting, the municipalities of the region showcased their good practices in circular economy, while the Regional Association of Solid Waste Management of RCM explained how the initiative “Brown Bin” (Kafe Kados) works.

The presentations were followed by an open discussion with all participants exchanging ideas and experiences in biowaste management at the systemic and community levels.
