The Regional Ministry of Agriculture and IFAPA have collaborated to hold a session aimed at identifying regional research infrastructures that are crucial for the promotion of circular bioeconomy activities.
The session, held at the La Mojonera Centre (Almería Andalusia-Spain) on 19 February 2024, was part of the ROBIN Action Plan, specifically within Support Action 7, “Identification of bioeconomy research infrastructures at a regional level”.
The session provided an immersive experience, allowing about 20 participants to explore pilot of innovative practices demonstration of vegetable waste and plastic recovery from horticultural greenhouses, biochar production, biodiversity gardens, and exhibition of samples of biodegradable and compostable material of raffia (staking elements) and mulching.
The event also served as a platform to introduce the ROBIN project to researchers and technicians actively involved in circular bioeconomy initiatives.
The exchange of information on bioeconomy projects facilitated discussions on potential synergies and opportunities for future collaboration, thus promoting the development and growth of circular bioeconomy practices in Andalusian agriculture.
