This workshop, organized by the BIOMODEL4REGIONS, BIOTRANSFORM, ROBIN, and ShapingBio projects, will share the results of the projects related to regional policy advocacy for promoting the bioeconomy. The focus will be on four key themes identified during the projects’ implementation:

• Governance and Policy Alignment
• Social and Regional Challenges, along with Public Awareness
• Cross-sector Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
• Environmental Impact and Resource Efficiency

These topics will be addressed following a presentation of the EU policy landscape and insights regarding the update of the Bioeconomy Strategy in process from the European Commission, offered by representatives of the DG RTD. 

The event will provide practical insights and solutions for advancing these themes. Participants will learn from the projects’ findings and discuss how to apply these ideas in their regions. Additionally, those responsible for other European projects will gain valuable information to help identify, analyze, design, and implement regional policies and governance models in their own work.

The workshop will take place online on February 19th, from 09:30 to 12.45 CET.
