Within the framework of the Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival on the 14th of March at Ok!Thess, the ROBIN project, along with BioGov.net and GenB co-organised a satellite event with a focus on informing professionals, academics and students about bioeconomy-related careers. The event gathered more than 40 participants and was a blast!
All three projects have a common vision to work toward developing the bioeconomy. BioGov.net presented its approach to explore innovative governance models in bioeconomy education and co-create guidelines for bioeconomy training and mentoring through a multistakeholder approach, and the integration of humanities, art, design and culture.
GenB aims to raise awareness of the Bioeconomy by building on communication and education that encourage and reward young BIOVOICES to take a role in steering the transition towards more sustainable lifestyles.
Taking inspiration from the three projects, all invited speakers shared insights into the development of circular bioeconomy and the future perspectives of it in Greece, skills and studies with a focus on bioeconomy, communication stories on bioeconomy case studies (Clean Stories, KaFsimo, Staramaki and LEDRA biofertilizers), opportunities and information for youth entrepreneurship and as a final note, ROBIN’s coordinator announced an invitation to the Open Call of ROBIN for free business support services on social entrepreneurship and bioeconomy.
A regional policy workshop under the organization of BioGov.net and the ROBIN project took place for the design of policies to promote skills development for the Bioeconomy while the Region of Central Macedonia, ROBIN’s regional partner, presented its bioeconomy strategy!
The event was informative and all attendees were amazed by bioeconomy benefits and how can be of great importance in multiple aspects. Let’s dive into its benefits and explore further how we could deploy bioeconomy solutions and regional governance models by following ROBIN, BioGov.net and GenB projects!
