The DECISO annual conference 2024 “Cities and regions investing in circular solutions: from idea to practice” will take place on October 9 in Brussels and online. This event is co-organised by the DECISO consortium and the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) Coordination and Support Office, with support from the Regione Lazio and Umbria offices.
The conference aims to bring together DECISO partners, CCRI-CSO representatives, and participants from related projects such as Horizon CCRI-PDA-funded initiatives and European Circular Innovation Valleys. The aim of the conference is to discuss the financial viability and sustainability of circular economy investment projects. Participants will benefit from shared experiences with DECISO pilots while also engaging with international projects that provide advisory and technical assistance for circular economy initiatives. This exchange will focus on overcoming challenges and identifying solutions to support local and regional circular economy investments.
The conference will feature two main sessions:
- Circular Cities and Regions Talks: This session will include discussions with experts on various topics such as financing schemes, circular agrifood business models, biomass valorisation, and water resilience. Participants will compare challenges and solutions in implementing circular economy projects.
- Project Development Assistance for the Circular Economy: This session will focus on sharing insights and planning future actions to enhance circular economy initiatives.
Taking place during the EU Week of Regions and Cities, the conference presents an excellent opportunity for networking and learning.
