The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of Andalusia and the Andalusian Institute for Research (CAPADR) and Andalusian Institute for Agricultural, Fisheries, Food and Organic Production Research and Training (IFAPA) have presented a comprehensive strategic analysis of the implementation of the circular bioeconomy in Andalusia, now available in the international journal C3-BIOECONOMY: Circular and Sustainable Bioeconomy.

The publication highlights the role of the European ROBIN project as an innovative platform for the development of governance models within the circular bioeconomy, catalysing the improvement of the Andalusian Circular Bioeconomy Strategy.

The important potential that Andalusia’s wide range of biomass resources offers is highlighted, placing the region at the forefront of the circular bioeconomy. Through a careful SWOT analysis, the report outlines the upcoming challenges for the implementation of the circular bioeconomy in Andalusia, highlighting the key role that the ROBIN project can play in steering towards improved governance and promoting an economically sustainable model.
